VIII.C. Discussion with Possible Action on the
Standardized Dress Code
Hernandez - How were the undecided figured in. Who
translated to Spanish speaking community? Dain not just cultural understanding
of questions. Funk stated Ms. Gonzalez interpreted at JH. Hernandez questioned
the make up of committee, any against? Mason even split for or against. After
1st meeting 80% 20%. Dain questioned why law enforcement personnel were in
attendance. Hernandez and Dain have feedback that are in disagreement. Lutz
said 90% were opposed. Dahl had most in favor of dress code. Hernandez
researched and questioned on how many were rescinded. After the motion, Dain
stated that she believed that the students need to obey current dress code
before install uniform dress code. Dahl stated he feels current dress code is
vague and needs to be changed. Discipline problems increasing and gang problems
increasing. Lutz and Breuer think should enforce current dress code. If do not
follow dress code what are the consequences. Hernandez questioned obese or
pregnant
