SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

AUGUST 21, 2007 

The Guymon Board of Education held a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Administration Office.

President Dahl called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.

Dahl requested a roll call and board members Scot Dahl, Kevin Breuer, and Elvia Hernandez were present.   Superintendent Doug Melton, Asst. Superintendent Mike Parkhurst and Director of Curriculum Kenny Mason were also present.

Melton submitted the resignation of Melissa Leach and Hernandez made a motion to accept the resignation of Melissa Leach, seconded by Breuer.  Motion carried 3-0.

Melton requested approval for the temporary hiring of Nadine Goff/Title I Academy.  Breuer made a motion to hire Nadine Goff/Title I Academy on a temporary basis, seconded by Hernandez.  Motion carried 3-0.

Melton presented additional fundraisers for approval.  Hernandez made a motion to approve the fundraisers for:  Zach McIntyre/Junior Class; Linda Quesenbury/French Club; Andy Brown/Cross Country; Chip Laubach/FFA; Cindy Williams/Elementary Library, seconded by Breuer.  Motion carried 3-0.

Breuer made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Hernandez.  Motion carried 3-0 and the meeting was adjourned.
