This being my senior year I would like to thank everyone who helped me along this long journey. I would also like to thank all the teachers that put up with me all these years! I would like to say Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived and also there are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. As this is my last couple of days in this school I would like to get a little philosophical with you guys. We now know that the human animal is characterized by two great fears that other animals are protected from: the fear of life and the fear of death. The basic anxiety of [humanity] is anxiety about being-in-the-world. That is, both the fear of death and fear of life, of experience and individuation. No matter what career we go into during the rest of our lives there is one rule to follow. That is that you are happy doing whatever you are doing no matter what they pay is, because you could have a job that pays tens of thousands more, but you would be miserable so "FIND WHAT YOU LOVE AND FIND SOMEONE TO PAY YOU TO DO IT!!!!" (Mr. O's words of wisdom) good luck to all the seniors and STAY CLASSY GUYMON HIGH SCHOOL!
