Lance Harland
is the 18 –year-old son of Ronnie and Cheryl Harland and the younger
brother of Chad Harland. His grandparents are Joy Ogle and the late
Richard Ogle of Felt, Oklahoma, Elnor Harland of Texhoma, Edward Lee
Harland of Oklahoma City, and great-grandparent Buena Shilling of
Texhoma.
He is a member of Oklahoma High School Honor Society, National Honor
Society, and Student Council where he serves as a representative. He
lettered in cross-country as a freshman. As a sophomore he placed 1st
in his division at the regional science fair and qualified for state.
He has been a member of French Club, BPA, and is currently serving as
a senior class officer. He is taking honors classes in high school
and is currently enrolled in classes at OPSU.
Lance is an active member of the Nazarene Church and is serving as
NYI president. Being involved in youth activities and mission trips
he enjoys helping others in need, including volunteering for the
Ministerial Alliance Christmas Basket delivery, and Meals on Wheels.
Lance plans to enroll at OSU after his senior year. He would like to
thank the Rotary Club for the honor of being selected Student of the
Month.
