Chelsea Renae Montano is the
eighteen year old daughter of Michael and Deena Montano, and the
granddaughter of Charles and Sonya Payne of Tyrone, OK and Leroy Sr.
and Mary Ann Montano of Guymon, and Gil and LInda Hendrix of Edmond,
OK.
Chelsea is an active senior at
Guymon High School. She participates in Business Professionals of
America and has held the positions of Parliamentarian and Historian.
Her sophomore year she received the State Torch award. Chelsea is also
the Vice-President of the National Honor Society where she
participates in school fundraisers and community service. Chelsea is a
member of the high school golf team, and is in her third year of
playing. Her junior year, the team tied for third place at regionals,
which won them a spot in the State tournament, where they received a
ninth place finish. She was chosen as the team's most valuable player
for 2009. Chelsea is also a cheerleader, and has been for the past
four years. Her freshman year the squad won their way into the State
competition. Her junior year, the squad was regional runner up, and
received a ninth place finish at State, as well as being placed in the
top five for academics. During her senior year, Chelsea had the
opportunity to try out for All Region Cheerleader, and made it. She is
an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
