Tasha Overpeck

Tasha Overpeck is the eighteen year old daughter of Laura Sandoval from Guymon and the late Roger Overpeck from Elkhart, Kan. She is the granddaughter of Ethel Overpeck of Elkhart, Kan.
Tasha has participated in the Advanced Placement College Curriculum all four years of her high school career and is currently ranked top in her graduating class. She has participated in Art Club all four years. In her junior year she joined Student Council. During her senior year she joined the National Honor Society as well as the Academic Team. She is a four-year veteran in the Guymon High School Art Department and has received several art awards.
Tasha is an active member of Victory Center Church. She helps during Sunday services in the toddler nursery and by operating the overhead projection system. On Wednesdays, Tasha is considered to be a leader at her youth group, Oneighty. There she is in charge of managing the sound system. She has spent two separate summers working a Christmas church camp. One called Youth America in Oklahoma City, Okla., for three weeks in 2007 and the other called Dry Gulch USA in Pryor, Okla., for three months this past summer. In the spring of 2006, Tasha went on a mission trip to Los Angeles, Calif.
Tasha is currently employed at her church as well as with Chris Urias Photography for one year.
She plans on attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall of 2010 to study world religions and philosophy. Although life might still be uncertain for her future, she has no fear for that which is headed her way in life.
Tasha would like to thank the Guymon Rotary Club for selecting her to be their newest Rotary Girl for the month of December. She considers this opportunity a great honor.
