Adriana Walker

 

Adriana Faith Walker is the daughter of Willie and Veronica Walker, and the grandaughter of Gladys Turner of Guymon and the late Rev. Henry Turner, Patricia Emerson of Guymon and Willie Walker Sr. and Linda Walker of Houston, Texas. Adriana is a member of the First Baptist Church where she was baptized and accepted Christ at the age of eight years old. She is very involved in her church where she helps with extended session and Vacation Bible School. She is also involved in her youth group and youth choir. Adriana has been on numerous mission trips to Denver, Colarado where she was involved in helping at the Denver Rescue Mission serving food to the homeless and cleaning up around the building. While in Denver she also worked at The Crossing where the group put on a Vacation Bible School for the children that resided there. Adriana also went on a mission trip to Jaurez, Mexico where she helped pass out Bibles and minster to people. Adriana was homeschooled for five years and reentered public school her freshman year. Adriana is involved in many different organizations. She has been in Student Council for three years where she  was vice president her junior year and is now serving as president her senior year. Adriana was selected by the Guymon Rotary Club to attend the Rotary Leadership Camp in Winfield, Kansas, this past summer. She has also been in Business Professionals of America(BPA) for three years and has served as treasurer for two years. While in BPA she was part of a Power Point Presentation Management Team where they placed second at State and advanced on to Nationals in Dallas, Texas. She has also been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and has also been a class officer for two years. Adriana has already been accepted to and plans on attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University and obtaining her degree in Psychology.
