Amber Wells

 

Amber Wells is the 18-year-old daughter of Jon and Denise Wells of Guymon, Okla. She has one younger brother Joshua Wells. Her grandparents are Russel and linda Egbert, and the late Dale Gann of Guymon, Okla. and Donald Wells and the late Joann Wells of Guymon, Okla.

Amber is a senior at Guymon High School. She has been very active throughout her high school career. Amber has been a member of the National FFA organization since her 8th grade year. She is currently the President of the Guymon FFA Chapter. She has been involved in many activities in the FFA such as the National FFA Band, Washington Leadership Conference, Public Speaking contest, livestock show and much more. She was also involved in the "Pride of the Panhandle Band" through Jr. High to her sophomore year of high school. She was a three year member of the Five-State Honor Band and has received two superior solos, one superior trio and two superior duets at the OPSU competition. Amber is also a member of the National Honor Society. She has been involved in Art Club for four years and is currently the President of the National Art Honor Society chapter at the high school. She is enrolled in Advanced Placement art classes where she just won two silver key awards at a District Art Contest.

Amber is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Guymon where she was baptized at the age of seven. Amber currently works at the Sonic Drive-In where she holds the position of Crew Leader. Her future plans are to attend Oklahoma State University where she has already been accepted. She plans on majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet option. Amber is planning on pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University. Amber would like to thank the Rotary Committee for this prestigious honor.
