OUR HISTORY

The first school building for district No.8 was a
3-room frame building located on block 33
at Sixth and Academy street.
In 1907, an 8-room brick building was
built on block
22.

This original Guymon lot was
purchased for a
playground.
The high school building was constructed in 1916.
This is
on the 700 block of Academy Street.

Classes moved into the Senior High's 16-room
class wing in October of 1953. The Panhandle's largest auditorium was not
completed until
January 1954. This is now the
Guymon Central Junior High.
