Guymon High School senior Shanese Hilliard, the
Rotarian female student for the month of April.
Guymon High School senior Randy Costilla, the
Rotarian male student for the month of April.
Shanese Hilliard is the daughter of Rick and
Becky Hilliard of Guymon. She is the youngest of three brothers,
Jeremy, Brandon and Josh. Her grandparents are Leola Hartley of
Guymon, Roger and Delomia Hurst of Johnson, Kan., and Richard
and Darby of Pueblo, Colo.
Shanese is a 12-year senior of Guymon High School
where she has participated in many school activities, including
booster babe, Business Professionals of America, the website
team, speech and debate, basketball, competitive cheerleading
for three years and volleyball for four years.
Shanese has been on the Principal's Honor Roll,
Whose Who Among American High School Students, The National
Society of High School Scholars for Academic Achievement, voted
All-Tournament Team in 2007 for volleyball, class royalty her
junior and senior years, and Homecoming Queen, in which she was
voted on by her peers.
Her community involvement includes coaching Kids
Inc. Cheerleading and Volleyball and helping out with the canned
food drive.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing and
watching sports, especially volleyball, as well as spending time
with her family and friends.
In her future, Shanese plans on attending college
but is uncertain as to where. She hopes to start her career in
the medical field and then after, become an elementary school
teacher.
Randy Gabe Costilla is the 18 year old son of
Gabe and Kim Costilla and the brother of Gabrielle and Arron
Costilla. He is the grandson of Manuel and Adela Costilla and
Chester and Ladelle West all of Guymon.
Randy is a 12 year Senior. He has been activite
in football, basketball, baseball and track. In football, he
has been the team captain for two years, named Offensive MVP,
and was chosen Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Star by class.
Randy was also selected to play in the K-101 Classic Bowl.
Basketball, he was awarded Mr. Hustle and named All-tournament
player in the Red and Blue Classic Tournament. Baseball, he
wasawarded Newcomer of the Year and received the James Tuttle
Award his freshman year.
In addition, Randy has been named class royalty 2
years, this year El-Tiger King, and was voted Homecoming King.
He has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll and has
been invited to attend a Lead America Conference.
He attends St. Peter’s Catholic Church. In his
free time Randy enjoys playing sports(football), drawing and
spending time with his family and friends.
Randy plans to attend college and play football
or baseball but is still undecided where at this time
