The Guymon Athletic Booster Club was officially incorporated in 1982, although it began years before that.   Our mission is “to provide support, encouragement, backing, assistance, and help to all phases, and all aspects, of the general High School athletic programs conducted and carried out by Guymon Public Schools.  This non-profit corporation will seek to encourage participation, school spirit, crowd and community support, good sportsmanship and team pride.”

Some of the activities sponsored in recent years by the Booster Club include:

· Meet a Tiger Posters

· Chili Cook-off

· Silent Auction

· Sports Banquets

The Booster club welcomes new members throughout the year.  As students graduate, we lose parents, too.  We need your help to keep an already established program successful.  We have meetings on an as needed basis to have our programs run successfully.  Some months there might be more than one meeting; other months, there may not be any meetings at all.  Meetings will be posted in the Guymon Daily Herald, in the school announcements, and on the school website.  If you prefer email notices or reminders, send your request to any of the officers listed above to be added to a distribution list.

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors… any and everyone is encouraged to participate.  By joining, you can be an asset to the coaching staff and the eyes and ears for your child’s interest area.  You will be able to recognize needs of a particular sport and help find ways that we can enhance our sports programs.

Our time is dedicated to organizing the fund raisers that assist our teams.  We do not fund events out of our own pockets, nor are there any membership dues.  Your time and dedication to the kids and the programs are all we ask for.

GO TIGERS!!

All parents, family, and friends that are interested in supporting athletics are encouraged to join. Supporters can start to look for orange "Meet A Tiger" posters at participating Businesses. if anyone would like a poster and has not been contacted, they may call Mrs. Bryana gahagan at 338-5382 or any other booster club member.

We encourage everyone to WYO "wear your orange" colors  this year at each game in support of GHS athletics. New 2008 orange T-shirts are available at BOB'S Kitchen Mart in downtown Guymon.
