Prom Dress Code!

The prom dress code applies to both in school and out of school attendees.  Guymon High School students that bring out of school (or out of town) dates, are responsible for making the dress code known to their dates.  Any student, from Guymon High School or other, will be asked to leave if they are in violation of the dress code.

The Junior/Senior Prom is a formal event and formal dress is required.

1. *Suits must be a tuxedo or pants with a matching jacket.  Tie is required.

2. * Dresses must meet the following guidelines:

-Dresses must not be shorter than mid-thigh, at the shortest point.  This rule applies to dresses that have slits as well. Please wear compression shorts or appropriate undergarments under dresses.

-All cut outs are allowed as long as it is covered with mesh and covers as much as a two-piece.    

-Two piece dresses are allowed but the gap must be no more than three inches.Strictly enforced.

-Dresses must not be low cut in the front to show cleavage. Sweetheart necklines, strapless and spaghetti straps are allowed. No deep cleavage.

-Dresses cannot be see-through in such a manner to violate the above guidelines.

****To gain admittance into the prom (even out of town guests) you must get your dresses preapproved. This is to avoid unnecessary drama the night of prom. You will not gain entrance without preapproval by Friday, May 10.  You can send pictures to: yvette.marquez@guymontigers.com.
