โ๏ธ Aviation Takes Flight at GHS! ๐
The 2025โ26 school year marks the launch of our new Aviation Program, beginning with this yearโs inaugural Drone Technology class powered by AOPAโs nationally recognized curriculum.
Students are gaining hands-on experience with drone tech, aviation history, STEM labs, and career pathways that can lead to future FAA certifications โ all part of a four-year pathway designed to open doors in both piloted and unmanned aviation fields.
Earlier this month, the class visited the Guymon Airport for real-world learning and a closer look at aviation operations.
Weโre excited to see this program grow and inspire the next generation of aviation professionals! ๐ฏโ๏ธ

We know that many families in our community count on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits (SNAP) to provide meals for their families. Due to the federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits will likely be temporarily interrupted, beginning November 1, 2025.
Please know that students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch every school day through Guymon Public Schools. Our child nutrition program will remain fully operational, and no student will go without a meal at school.

๐ October is National Principals Month! ๐
Today weโre celebrating Mrs. Maribel Gutierrez, Principal at North Park Elementary! ๐ฏ
A proud Guymon High School Class of 2007 graduate, Mrs. Gutierrezโs story is deeply rooted in courage, family, and community. Her parents, Antonio and Maria Gutierrez, came to the United States from Durango, Mexico in 1984 with hopes of building a better future. They worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their three children โ Luis, Lizet, and Maribel โ and their determination continues to inspire her every day.
Now in her 13th year with Guymon Public Schools, Mrs. Gutierrez leads North Park with that same spirit of perseverance and pride.
A few fun facts about Mrs. Gutierrez:
๐ Favorite snacks: Aรงaรญ bowl or Vaso de Elote
๐ Favorite teams: Yankees โพ | OU ๐ | Broncos ๐
๐จ Hobbies: Crafting and listening to music
๐ฌ Favorite show: All American

When asked what advice sheโd share with students, she said:

Thank you, Mrs. Gutierrez, for the heart, leadership, and example you bring to North Park and our entire Tiger family!
