Guymon, OK – February 2025 – Guymon Public Schools is proud to celebrate Rachel Taylor, who was recently featured in In The Spotlight - Hope Heroes for her dedication to supporting students and families in Texas County.
As a School-Based Specialist (SBS), Rachel plays an essential role in connecting families with critical resources, including academic support, mental health services, food assistance, and crisis intervention. Her feature in Hope Heroes recognizes her commitment to helping students overcome obstacles, develop resilience, and build a brighter future.
"Everyone has the strength to overcome challenges, and it’s a privilege to help students and families tap into that resilience," Rachel shared in her interview. Her work reflects the core values of Guymon Public Schools—compassion, accountability, and excellence—while emphasizing the importance of hope and perseverance in education and life.
Rachel has been with Guymon Public Schools for several years, previously working with Oklahoma Systems of Care before bringing her expertise to Texas County. Her feature in In The Spotlight - Hope Heroes is a testament to her passion for helping students thrive and her unwavering dedication to public service.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys traveling, photography, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Recently, she celebrated becoming a Mimi, while continuing to make a difference in the lives of students and families.
