Guymon, OK - February 24, 2025 - Jacob Burchard, the son of Amy and Jeremy Moser, and a standout student in the Early College High School program, has been honored as an Oklahoma Academic All State recipient, an accolade awarded to only 100 high school seniors statewide. This prestigious recognition underscores Jacob’s exceptional academic performance, robust extracurricular involvement, and unwavering commitment to community service.

Jacob’s academic journey is defined by his belief in the power of effort and persistence—a principle he attributes to the strong support of his family, especially his mother and grandmother, as well as his inspiring teachers. A notable milestone was his freshman year in Speech and Debate—a challenging experience that taught him the value of perseverance and constructive feedback. His selection as an Oklahoma Academic All State honoree further cements his reputation as one of the top academic achievers in the state.

Beyond the classroom, Jacob has distinguished himself through active participation in a wide array of extracurricular activities, including Speech and Debate, Student Council, Rotary Interact Club, National Honor Society, OPSU Science and Math Club, OPSU Student Government Association, and the OPSU Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students Club.

His community engagement extends to his work with the Guymon Church of the Nazarene, where mission and ministry projects have profoundly shaped his high school experience. Participation in the Oklahoma Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. has further fueled his passion for political thought, American history, and addressing the needs of his local community.

Looking ahead, Jacob plans to continue his academic journey by completing prerequisite courses for pharmacy school at OPSU. His long-term goal is to attend the Texas Tech Health Science Center School of Pharmacy, where he aims to earn both a PharmD and a Masters of Public Health. Jacob believes that his current recognition will serve as a testament to his work ethic and character, providing a strong foundation as he pursues scholarships, college admissions, and future career opportunities.

Reflecting on his journey, Jacob encourages younger students to seize every opportunity and to embrace challenges as stepping stones to growth. “There’s always more to learn if you’re willing to keep trying,” he says. He hopes that his dedication to academics, leadership, and faith will inspire his peers and contribute to a lasting legacy at his school.
