BOND COMMITTEE MEETING IS TOMORROW!✨
The next Bond Committee meeting is TOMORROW, January 17th at 6:00 pm, located in the Junior High Science Annex.
Please note that this committee operates independently and is not a part of the school district. Nonetheless, we warmly welcome all who are interested to attend! Dress warm! 🐾🐅

ATTENTION: GUYMON PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL HAVE IN-PERSON SCHOOL TOMORROW!❄️
However, as the weather continues to be in these low temperatures, it's important to ensure that our students are dressed warmly and bundled up.
Please make sure your child is equipped with appropriate winter attire, including a warm coat, hat, gloves, and scarf. Layering up is also highly recommended.
For those families who live down a dirt road, we kindly request that you bring your student directly to the blacktop area.
We understand that these additional precautions may be inconvenient, but the safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities.
We can't wait to see everyone's smiling faces back in the classroom tomorrow! 🐾

Dear GHS Community & Friends,
The Tigers and Lady Tigers are preparing themselves for the upcoming season. The Orange and Black will be playing hard and fast as we try to earn the right to be called “Champions”.
GHS is known for its great fans. To be a part of this year’s team, you can join our 6th Man Program. There are four levels of support with four levels of benefits to choose from below.
The funds generated from these sponsorships go directly to the basketball program. Your donation will allow us to upgrade our programs above and beyond our operational budget. Also, these sponsorships and their benefits are renewable annually.
To show your support for the Orange and Black, please contact Coach Tyler Chapman at tyler.chapman@guymontigers.com or Coach Gary Wallace at gary.wallace@guymontigers.com.
Thank you for your continued support— our fans are the DIFFERENCE🏀🐾

GUYMON PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL HAVE IN-PERSON SCHOOL TOMORROW🐾🐅
Tomorrow, we are thrilled to announce that we will be having in-person schooling! This is no minor feat, especially considering the challenges we have faced over the past couple of days. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the dedicated staff and supportive community members who have played a crucial role in making this possible.
To ensure a smooth and safe transition, we kindly request parents and staff to exercise caution and patience when it comes to parking, dropping off children, and navigating between buildings.
See you tomorrow!!

GUYMON JUNIOR HIGH BLOOD DRIVE🩸
Guymon Junior High will be hosting a Blood Drive for Coffee Memorial Blood Center on January 12th.
We were blessed last year by Kids Inc and Coffee Memorial with a $1500 donation during their Donor Days. We are wanting to help this organization during their time of need. We received an email from the coordinator informing me that they have had a rough start to the year and are 42 units under at this time.
If you are willing to donate blood this Friday please scan the QR code on the attached flier.
Thank you so much! 🐾

ANNOUNCEMENT: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10TH❄️
Due to the current severe weather conditions and the safety concerns it poses, Guymon Schools has made the decision to cancel in-person classes for tomorrow.
Instead, students in grades 3-12 will engage in remote learning from the comfort and safety of their homes. Meanwhile, students in grades K-2 are encouraged to dedicate some time to reading.
Our dedicated staff has been working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition to remote learning, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the safety of our students and staff on our school premises, especially with the expected hard freeze tonight. Additionally, road conditions are expected to be hazardous tomorrow morning, further emphasizing the need for caution. While we truly value having our students physically present in school, their safety remains our utmost priority, and we cannot afford to take any risks.
Please stay safe and warm! 🐾

School for tomorrow, January 9th, is cancelled. We will not be doing remote learning. Please stay safe and warm!

Please stay safe and warm 🐾

GUYMON PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL HAVE REMOTE LEARNING FOR TOMORROW, JANUARY 8TH❄️
Due to the inclement weather predicted, Guymon Public Schools will have remote learning for January 8th.
This decision has been made after careful consideration and with the utmost caution. With over 850 students relying on our transportation services and the safety of our staff, our primary concern is the well-being of everyone involved. The anticipated wind chill, and the forecasted winds exceeding 35 mph during release time have led us to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
Students were sent home with their homework packets and chromebooks to sign into their Google Classroom for their assignments. If you do not have internet, please notify your child’s teacher so they are aware. They can work with you on what to do.
We understand the importance of their security and will continue to provide updates on our social media platforms and website.
Please stay safe and take necessary precautions during this time.

The Tigers are the Consolation Tournament Champions at the Anadarko Warrior Midfirst Classic.
Go Tigers!🏀🐾
