A Cheesy Math Proof Students in Mrs. Joy’s 8th grade Pre Algebra class used Cheez-It crackers to model the Pythagorean Theorem. They found that the number of Cheez-its needed to cover the area of square C was the same as the number needed to cover the areas of squares a and b combined. So, the square of the hypotenuse was equal to the sum of the squares of both legs. Thank you to those who helped purchase the cheez-its!
