GPS would like to thank Dr. Charla Lewis-Ferry and the OPSU Department of Music. Dr. Lewis-Ferry wrote a grant for the Oklahoma Panhandle that provided band directors with opportunities to come together for continuing education and collaboration. Our Band Directors put together a long wish list of music we needed/wanted for our North Park, Junior High and High School programs. Our bands received all the music requested! Thank you, Dr. Lewis-Ferry and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. This will go a long way in providing music for our Bands for years to come.

NHS Graduating Class of 2023 would like to thank TCEC and Brittney Davis for the wonderful gift of new NHS stoles for this year's graduation ceremony and future graduation ceremonies. TCEC gave a wonderful gift that allowed us to purchase 30 new graduation stoles for the Guymon High School NHS graduating seniors. Members wore their new stoles at this year's Baccalaureate service at the Guymon High School MEP Auditorium (high school auditorium) and at Graduation.

Caring for Tigers is a compassion fund that enables Guymon Public Schools to help families in crisis. We rely heavily upon our community to assist when a crisis happens, and they always come through to help. This fund allows us to immediately respond when one of our students experiences a traumatic event that puts them and their family in immediate need. We appreciate the help our community partners provide to our students and their families!

At the end of the school year, students in 3rd and 4th grade at Academy Elementary School chose three free books for summer Books for Breaks. This program allows them to have books at their homes over the summer to read for pleasure. We would like to thank our partner in funding, TCEC, for helping to purchase the books! The GiFTS Grant and library fundraising money allowed us to give away over 1200 books for the summer! Mrs. Harris was happy to see the excited faces of the students!
